Our story

From a Facebook page in Dhaka to a workshop in Auckland

Ruba and Shahriar Zaman founded LEVAUS in 2022, drawn to the ethnic and traditional jewellery the mainstream market had no room for. What began as a small Bangladeshi business moved with the family to New Zealand — the location changed, the philosophy did not.

Beaded pieces

Beadwork is the oldest jewellery there is, and the most personal — every strand is assembled bead by bead, by hand. This collection gathers our beaded pieces from across the Himalaya and beyond: Naga strands shaped one bead at a time, Nepali pothe in coloured glass, and Japanese beads polished to a high gloss.

Because they are handmade from natural materials, no two strands are quite identical.
